What is meant by the fourth world and how does this impact on the lives of children

Fourth world is a term used to denote a group of people who have been left out of the continuing progression by which area financial system, civilization and way of life have become incorporated through a world straddling network of communication as well as doing business, (Scheper  Sergent 1998). These people or communities have been left behind in terms of international and interglobal exchange and distribution of ideas, verbal communication, or accepted fashionable culture by means of acculturation. These people include wandering or roaming, pastoralists, huntsmen, seekers, gatherers and any other person existing away from the contemporary, current or up to date industrial standard and average customs. People in the forth world category are usually poor and uncivilized their education level is low and they are primitive.
The fourth world generation has several impacts on the lives of children. Among the impacts of these is lack of proper education system, poverty, sicknesses and illnesses due to lack of access to proper medical care, malnutrition due to illnesses and poor feeding habits and lack of information about things like balanced diet, alienation from the reality due to lack of access to decision making and representation, exploitation by adults due to ignorance, child labor and abuse verbally, emotionally, sexually, as well as physically, child trafficking, prostitution, early marriages, forced marriages and inheritance as wives. Children may lack proper family structures that are a key foundation during a childs development, and may end being unproductive as compared to their counterparts in modern world, (Scheper  Sergent 1998).

In these cases the parents are also not aware of their rights, thus cannot advocate for the same for their children. In this fourth world children grow up to become adults who are not complete in the standards of modern living and experience a lot of inadequacy in life especially when the become exposed to the modern world or meet the civilized people.
